The crisis center exists almost five years. But the telephone hotline works only from 10 o'clock till 18 o'clock. The majority of family conflicts occurs in the evening or at night, and the woman could not be called. Also it is necessary to open even a small hospital for women to which frequently has no place to go after the conflict. And if a hospital exists, she could come even at night, one or with children receives the necessary help. However prolongation of an operating time of a telephone hotline, and on opening of a hospital needs means which at our Center hasn't.

According to the active workers of public organization "Lana" who has acted as initiators of a hot line, in most cases people get in slavery at trip abroad of the Russian Federation for employment or education. In some cases it is done violently. People take out abroad for rendering sexual services or performance of heavy physical work.

Its participants - leaders of public organizations, representatives of business, scientific community and a politics, doctors, teachers of high schools - will develop the general concept of the activity, will discuss ways of the decision of the most significant social problems of area and plans for the near future.

Today PROJECT Kesher unites 165 women's groups which are taking place in territory of Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia and Moldova. More than 3500 women actively participate in programs which carry out women's groups.

On March, 16 deputies of the Vologda legislative assembly have refused to legalize prostitution. With such offer colleagues from the State Duma of Russia have addressed to them. As has explained deputy Maria Ogluzdina, despite of obvious economic pluses, legalization of prostitution will bring serious moral harm to a society.

On March, 4 the round table has taken place in Barnaul "Spiritual and physical health of woman". The branch of the regional Center of social - psychological rehabilitation the population - the regional crisis center for women has acted as the organizer of action.

In Barnaul "Club of having many children mothers" opens. Such club will work on the basis of the Center of the social help to family and children of administration of Octyabrski area of Barnaul.

On February, 19-20 in Perm the conference "Mother and the child" within the framework of the Russian-American project has passed. Representatives of USAID, international NGOs, employees of the project "Mother and the child", representatives of the organizations of public health services on protection of motherhood and the childhood from ten regions of Russia took part in the conference.

On March, 6 in the Siberian media - center the round table "Human rights: exploitation of prostitution of women in Novosibirsk area" has taken place. The purpose of a meeting - to discuss the possible measures necessary for performance of the Convention of the United Nations "About liquidation of discrimination against women".

Competition of journalistic works "World against modern slavery" which will pass from March, 1 till May, 31, 2004 is declared. Results of competition will be brought on June, 10, before Day of independence. The best works will be marked and sent to the Authorized representative under human rights of the Russian Federation to Vladimir Lukin. Authors of these works will be awarded with prizes and incentive premiums.

Before removal on advice of the Duma the bill was discussed by the several constant commissions of the area Duma, taken out uniform verdict - to not support. To the same opinion there came also members of advice of the Duma: to not support the concept of the bill and to suggest the State Duma by its consideration in the first reading to reject.

During visit the lecturer, the head of the program on development of women's leadership of University of state Delver, USA and its former senator plans to meet women - deputies of the Municipal duma and students of the Perm state university. Visit of madam Beyer to Perm is carried out within the framework of celebrating 10-years anniversary of general consulate of USA in Ekaterinburg.

The optional protocol provides expansion of the competence of Committee and investment with its powers to accept and consider complaints of separate persons or groups of the persons approving, that the state - participant had been broke their rights stated in the Convention.

In Svetlogorsk the International fund on prevention of trade by people La Strada together with regional public organization "League of women voters of the Kaliningrad area" has held the seminar on the theme "Harmonization of cooperation on prevention of trafficking of women in frontier areas".
