The Nizhniy Novgorod area: Social programs in 2003 are financed on 47 %

 The largest (up to 70 % of means), in 2003 in sphere of social protection of the population was the program directed on improvement of position of family, women and children. The federal means involved within the framework of this program, have been directed on the organization of rest and improvement of 11708 children who have appeared in a difficult vital situation, strengthening of material base of 22 working establishments, creation of regional social - rehabilitation center "Brigantina", transportation of neglected children.
