In 1998 the project of Consortium of women non-governmental organizations Partnership for Freedom has been realized in Staraya Russa in the frames of the program of technical support of the US State Department Regional Initiative in Novgorod region.

Mission of the Informational Center Sodeystviye is rendering of informational support to social organizations on legal, educational, cultural, ecological issues as well as on development of women status in the society, participation in solving problems of social reforms and forming of womens active position in their rights and interests advocacy.

2000 on the initiative of International Republic Institute the program Womens Leadership in the 21st Century has started in Russia. The main target of the program is training of women leaders in Russian regions.
