During the last half-year in Georgia 15 people have been kidnapped with the purpose to get ransom and 27 girls have been kidnapped to get married.

On the 4th of July in the Murmansk Trade Unions House the session of the Council of chairmen and presidium of the Executive Committee of Murmansk regional Trade Unions Organization took place, where gender problems in the trade union have been discussed.

On the 29th of June 2002 regional social organization "League of women voters of Kaliningrad region" conducted seminar "Gender approach to solving of social problems" in Chernyakhovsk in the frames of the project "Gender expertise of the regional legislation".
