The geography of infringements of the rights of women is very wide. In opinion of many, it simply coincides with a map of the world. Representatives of the weaker sex suffer from violence not only over such places, as Afghanistan, Ruanda, Bosnia.

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko has called the international community to protect women from discrimination and violence. Addressing to session of the Commission of the United Nations under human rights, he has told that in Ukraine the drastic measures directed on improvement of position of women and children are undertaken. For coordination of efforts of the state in this sphere the Ministry on affairs of women and children has been created.

The violence against women is not limited to frameworks of any concrete political or economic system. It exists in any country and does not recognize borders of a material well-being, race and culture. Structures of domination on which the violence is based, are deeply implanted in a society. On March, 15, in Kiev between the Ministry of labor of Ukraine and the International Labou Organization (ILO) the design program on prevention and reduction of scales of trade by women in Albania, Moldova and Ukraine has been signed.
