Center of emergent help for women having disabled children has been opened in Altai Region

Activities of the Murmansk regional program for women's support "Way to Success" for the first four months have been reviewed at the staff meeting of the organization on 21 September.

Altai regional social organization "Mother and Child" started realization of the new project "Center of emergent aid". Project was supported by the Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation).

Center started its activities on 24 February 2001. During this time more that 500 requests have been registered.

Branch offices of the Altai regional crisis center for men will open soon in Slavgorod, Biysk and Rubtsovsk. Specialists of the population's social protection committees of those cities won the contest announced by the crisis center at the beginning of this year.

Mission of the organization: creation of conditions for social, cultural and educational activities for young people oriented at vital problems of the modern society with the object of their competent participation in the social life.

Altai crisis center for men is preparing the project "Men overcoming violence". The main target of the project is to work out by men intolerance to the violence toward women and family.

Seminars of the Khoresm regional women's center "Megrihie" are based on the knowledge, which can help people to overcome difficulties in their life. Center was registered by the Regional Department of Justice on May 31, 2002. Center's main mission is to improve status of the social unprotected sections of the population, first of all women and youth and to support them through different educational activities.
