Other projects "Information as a tool for change". ZhIF acts together
with CREW (Belgium) and St.- Petersburg Centre on Gender Issues. The project
is sponsored by EC TACIS Democracy Program (1995-1996) and aimed at increasing
qualification of women-representatives of independent and basic press.
"Transmission democracy to Russia: supporting the
establishment of women's rights in Russia". In 1995 ZhIF gave birth to
a new organisation - "Electronic Documentation Centre", which acted as
a Russian coordinator of the this project. This is a common project with
AIDoS (Italy) and KEGME (Greece), aimed at establishing Documentation Centres
with a specialized library on women's rights, and the creation of regional
documentation network. This project is co-financed by EC TACIS Democracy
programme and UNPFA, 1995-1996.
