Collected works "Gender approach to the problem of violence: research strategies and role of educational programs"

Lexicon of Gender Terms is the first full (378 articles) lexicographic edition presenting Russian language gender terms as well as their English language versions. As gender terms we interpret words and word-combinations of the professional language, indicating special terms of gender researches and integrating scientific knowledge from the fields of philosophy, sociology, political and art science, psychology and linguistics, literary criticism, history and partly sexology. Lexicon contents lexicographic articles of 49 scientists and researchers from Russia and abroad. The Lexicon is created for scientists, teachers and students, journalists, representatives of power and governing bodies, participants of social movements. One of the targets of publishing the Lexicon is gender education of the Russian society aimed at forming of worldwide-accepted modern conceptions about equality of men and women.

Women's Association "ZhARiA" is announcing the beginning of the competition for the participation in the educational seminar "Preventive measures of violence among teenagers". Seminar will take place on 19-28 August 2002 in Astana (Borovoye resort).

Since 1999 “Women’s Alliance” is carrying on close educational work with law-enforcement structures. To make cooperation with militia more effective and structural specialists of the Organization have taken part in two probation trainings in 2002.

Training in the frames of the project of the international organization “Winrock International” aimed at prevention of women and girls trade in the Russian Far East and in Siberia financed by the US Agency on International Development (USAID) took place in the Center for Aesthetical Education in Blagoveschensk on July 20-21, 2002.

July 15 in Ekaterinenburg started the three-days seminar on training of social services workers who will render emergent and preventive psychological help measures to victims of domestic violence.
