I am working as consulting psychologist and conducting developing trainings for teenagers and adults in the non-for-profit organization Fund "Island of Childhood". As psychologist and mother of the twenty-year-old daughter I can not remain indifferent to what emotional shock can lead the stuck up in plenty in the subway and in the railway trains leaflets "Abortion - legalized murder". The Orthodox Church and the fabricators of the new esoteric doctrines present the statistics of the birth rate decrease nearby as the messages about the doomsday flavoring the data with the predictions about the nearest disappearance of the nation. In addition to that a cruel psychological and emotional attack has being made on the long-suffering Russian women who are accused of the killing of their not born children. This hypocritical sentimentality is hitting in the first place the most sensible, most inexperienced and unprotected women. Our women who were brought up with the feeling of being guilty and always victims as well as the priority of the state values above the personal ones begin to feel that there are "frightful secrets" in their lives.
It is very important for me to publish this article although I understand very well that hardly anybody of the editors will dare to do it. Nothing is opposed to the avalanche of women's accusations. Psychologists are trying not to take any position and do not comment the problem as if it does not exist. I have read your publications on this subject and hope to add something new to solving of this problem."

A Human Being is Born for Happiness but not for Demographic Reports

Not a single civilization died of the using (permission) of abortions and contraceptives. The existing of the human race is not threatened by contraceptives at all. An easy calculation: two parents have one child and therefore the size of the population is decreasing to the half - is too primitive for the nature. The size of the population is recovering spasmodically. The nature itself is taking care of it, if in case of wars, cataclysms etc. the size of the population decreased - ask demographers. The nature will always find means for it but only under condition if the social mentality of the nation has sufficient spiritual potential. It might be that while saving not born children we are killing this potential and civilization. As example we can take a very good person Eldar Ryazanov who thinks that while having abortions we reduce the number of talented people. Not women but society leading by men has been killing the already born genius - beginning from Jesus Christ. And there is no interdependence - higher birth rate - more talented people. On the contrary the overpopulation is intensifying social problems and talented children born in the families who are having many children and are not able to bring them up and educate properly will be most likely not demanded by the society in the right way. The number of talents is normally exactly the same how much the society can make use of them for the common good. And the more civilized the society is the more talented persons are there. But so much lower the birth rate. The Earth is threatened by the overpopulation and perhaps we should not start the foolish competition with Asia and Africa in the increasing of the starving children's number. The birth-rate without limitations is an suicidal idea for the human race comparable with the idea of nuclear weapons.

I have heard about one experiment: in a spacey and comfortable enclosure were installed 100 rats. They began instantly reproducing and the enclosure was not anymore spacey enough for them. At the certain time the rats not only stopped reproducing but began to die out rapidly until they all died out. Although the overpopulation did not reach its critical stage on the opinion of people but not on one of rates. In that way the desire for multiplying did not lead to the everlasting life but to the certain death. Then why to appeal for something that is impossible to be done? This appeal is existing only because nobody is going to respond. This appeal exists only as a propagandistic trick that is in between times destroying lives of them who believed in it. Perhaps it would be more logical to educate the people in the field of the right attitude towards women and children? Why is it possible to prohibit abortions and not to prohibit brutish attitude towards women?

The nature itself is controlling and regulating the quantitative level of animals' populations. The human society has at its disposal such a phenomena as progress that is feeding, providing clothes, curing. Since the beginning of the civilization human society is obliged to control and regulate the birth-rate even because medicine interfered with the natural selection. Medicine is prolonging lives to chronically diseased, diabetics, tubercular patients, heart patients and gives them chance to have weakened descendants. But we should not worry about genetic reserves - Ericsson, Lermontov, Suvorov were weak and ill children. The physical shape is undoubtedly very important but the survival of the human race is guaranteed by humanity. The common sense is differently defined by human beings and by nature. The aim of the Nature is survival of the hole race and not of a single person. The secret of the human existence has not a singe meaning but it is clear that this meaning is different for every person. The state of harmony and happiness brings us closer to the solution of this eternal secret. Namely a desire to be happy is the way of knowledge of God's ideas and a worthy aim of our existence. Therefore all the human efforts and altruism should be bent to the life quality and not to the simple reproduction. Human happiness is the answer what is the secret of life. A human being is born to be happy and not to be put into demographic statistics.

Totalitarian regimes are always supporting the family as "cell of the society". The easiest to manipulate with "cell of the society" is a family having many children. This families are delivering the cheapest and unpretentious man power (exceptions do not contradict the rule). Sickly-sweet enthusiasm about the families having many children is normally expressed by childless people. The worst publicity for having many children make the "Honored Mothers" lining up the queues to get their miserable allowances. Their children are not in a better situation than children from orphanages, they lack love, care and food. Though should they give birth to so many children condemning them to a "hard childhood" that will affect their whole lives?

Totalitarian regimes adore not yet born children and prohibit abortions. And already born children might be hated for some reason. The Stalin's regime, still adored by one third of our people, shoot 12-year-old children, but felt sorry for not yet born ones. Mother will never kill her child because he is physically weak, but since Sparta till Fascist Germany such an idea was realized by the state.

Church and State should not worry - women will never get bored with giving birth to children, if men forget how to kill and stop birth control by means of wars and concentration camps. Birth of a child is a sign of the woman's confidence in the world and in men but not just an act of reproduction. We women have children not to reproduce the human race not for social or political aims. I gave birth to my children to make them happy. All other reasons are criminal. The question is what is happiness? This is the question of survival. If happiness means for us chaotic sex and getting rich at any cost, if "happiness" means "success", but does not mean "love" - than there is no hope of the future. Absence of sex and chaotic sex, desire for accumulation and fear of having belongings - this all are symptoms of mental diseases. Happiness and health of the nation means proud and happy women bringing up desired children. Happiness of the motherhood as anything else can not be forced.

Would Russian women be mad enough not to reduce the birth rate on the dangerous turn of history we would have hunger and civil war in the country long ago. But thank God women still have their protective intuition which allows them to evaluate critically screams and sickly-sweet whispers of the "holy fathers" who in their eagerness to save the nation are ready to declare as "holy" each spermatozoon. Woman can give birth to a child and life seems not full if she does not do it. But as Luisa Hey said: "If woman did not become mother, it does not make her defective, she still can give life to the humanity".

Each from us has other abilities as well and our life will be not full if we do not realize them. And the problem of birth rate increasing can be discussed only when women will not be humiliated and women' logic despised, when it will be more prestigious to bring up children than to produce weapons. Just then and not earlier.
